The boat trip was a real highlight. Mr. Nelu knew the Delta inside out, patiently worked with our requests for water activities, and handled the boat skillfully, which made for a fantastic adventure. Mrs. Vali also did a wonderful job looking after our group. Everything in the guest house, from the rooms to the shared spaces, was sparkling clean, and the garden was cared for. Her cooking was great, and she managed to please four kids, two aged 7 and two aged 11, even with one being much pickier about food than the other. All four adults, from the US and Romania, were happy too. Va multumim mult, mult de tot, Doamna Vali și Domnul Nelu!

We didn't stay at the pension, but the staff were great, and the place looked clean and nice, in a good spot near the waterfront. The trip they arranged to Letea Forest was about 7 hours altogether, with roughly two hours spent walking in the forest. It cost around 35€ per person, which seemed fair for the length of the outing. Misha, Nelu's son in-law, was really nice and drove responsibly. Along the way to Letea Forest, he shared some interesting details about fishermen's culture and took us through lovely canals and lakes in the Danube Delta. We had lunch at Mrs. Vali's when we got back. The fish soup (borş pescăresc) was absolutely amazing, and I couldn't find a lower price elsewhere for that quality and amount of food.

The boat outing with Captain Nelu was great, though three hours felt like too long. The place is near the Danube, and the rooms were very clean, even if the decor wasn't especially nice. Meals cost a lot, as they do throughout the Danube Delta, but the portions were small. We got one plate with five small pieces of roasted carp for four people.

The boat ride to Letea was amazing, and the rooms were spotless and inexpensive, easily a 10+. Vali and Nelu were wonderful hosts, and the food they made was great. Thank you both! 👍👏👍

The food was good and the place was clean. But the house and its interior don't fit the area at all. It feels like just another ugly building, with a doll-like interior.
