You can hear the water while relaxing outside, and nothing compares to that experience. Delta Pontoon is right near the water, and the room was cozy, spotless, tastefully decorated, and had a homey feel. Guests can use a nice kitchen and a fridge. The nearest restaurant is a 10-minute walk away. I highly recommend it for a great stay in the Danube Delta.

The host was laid back, pleasant, and very helpful. The boat ride on the Danube cost a bit more than I expected, 100ron/person, but the gorgeous sunset alone made it worth it. Just watch out for spiders!

The Danube Delta is one of Europe’s most spectacular places, but our experience with these hosts made it worse. We were told on the phone that the boat ride was free, then found out after the trip that we had to pay 100 lei (~ 21 €) per person. The next morning we were made to leave at 10 o'clock, even though checkout was at 12 o'clock. The location itself is wonderful.

A great fishing trip in a remote part of Mahmudia, out in the Danube Delta. The boat trip through the secondary channels with the owner of the dock was the best.
