The sea was lovely, especially with children. You can wade in for 50 metres and the water is still less than a metre deep, though the sand wasn't clean. We stayed four nights in summer. The room was fine and the food was really good, with a restaurant on site. The surrounding area, though, felt like it was still under construction.

We visited Pensiunea Andreea in mid June 2019, coming from the US, and I'd definitely return when I'm in Romania. It's a quiet, intimate spot away from the crowded beach, just a two minute walk from the shore. The place was very clean, with new amenities, free private parking, wifi, and bed and breakfast. There's also a good restaurant and patio with a bar, and the staff were lovely and helpful.

The beach is wide and open, which I personally liked a lot. The apartment is fine for two adults and one child, with plenty of parking, and the stony roads are wide enough to park a car at the side. It's a comfortable, basic place if you're not after luxury. The food is decent, though the selection is limited. It feels like a straightforward three star family pension.

The beach is only about a five minute walk, even with our two little kids. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

The rooms themselves are fine. One downside is that, since they have a restaurant, they don't let you eat or drink anything unless you buy it from them. That's normal in hotels, but not in guesthouses. Coffee is 7 lei for boiled water, and the menu is incomplete, with some ingredients left off.
