We booked Casa Del Mar 2 two months ahead and spoke with the owner, who confirmed everything was fine. Two weeks before the trip we said we were definitely coming, and Booking took the payment two days before arrival. It all seemed settled. The day before check-in, we asked the owner when we could get into the apartment. He said the first person to arrive after check-out would get the accommodation. We reached the place at 8 a.m. and waited until 10. Just as we were preparing to head back to the hotel, we got a message saying the booking had been canceled. We tried calling two or three times, but he wouldn't answer and messaged that he couldn't talk on the phone. He was extremely difficult to deal with and very unserious. He wouldn't let us explain our side, and when we asked one thing, he'd answer something else, as if we weren't speaking the same language. We'd got up at 1 a.m. to leave at 2, then drove for hours, only to have our reservation canceled without any serious explanation. It showed a total lack of respect for people. A nightmare experience. Avoid this place if you want a peaceful vacation. I do not recommend it.

There are three long blocks in a row on Mamaia Boulevard, so only a few apartments have a sea view, and your chances of getting one seem low. Those units are probably assigned preferentially. The view we got was toward a construction site :). Also, no parking space is provided. Parking costs 200 lei per day, and finding a spot is very difficult, so be ready to carry your luggage a bit from the car. Attention!
