The communication was bad, and the stay was really too expensive. There was no breakfast or pool, and the laundry prices were crazy high. I only found out what they charged when the bill came at the end, over 100 euros for just a few clothes.

The hotel is clean, cozy, and has a boutique feel with chic interior decor. It’s in central Mamaia, and you can see the Black Sea from the window. The beach is relatively close, but the hotel isn’t right on the waterfront, there are other buildings in between. There’s no breakfast place.

The location worked well: about a three-minute walk to the beach, but far enough from the main strip that noise wasn’t a problem. The bathrooms have been upgraded recently, and the rooms are in reasonably good shape. The art deco style is appealing, though the public rooms and corridors looked tired.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom was a good size and clean, with both a tub and shower. The towels were very white and clean, as were the quality sheets and mattress. Reception was friendly and keeps the hotel in good shape. Guest parking is behind a barrier and reserved for hotel guests.

Two days after checkout, they called claiming I’d used the entire minibar and left without paying. That was a lie.
