The beach was a letdown: coarse sand, nothing like the fine sand farther north in Mamaia, and about a 400-meter walk to reach the water. The hotel itself is old, with a cheap-looking renovation and poor service for what it costs. There are much better options for the money in northern Mamaia. This felt overpriced for both the service and the beach.

I was very pleased with our vacation and would come back. The private beach was a great addition, and they provide nice towels to take along if you want. We had a great view, good service, and pretty good food. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly each day, and the cleaning staff even made a dog out of towels to sit with the dog plushie.

The breakfast was a highlight, with lots of cold mini appetizers, fruit, and sweet spreads for bread. It felt more like what I'd expect at a four-star hotel than a three-star one. The room was clean in this renovated hotel, everything in it worked well, and I really liked the balcony view. The staff were extremely kind and polite. Most of the cleaning staff were Asian, and they were all very well mannered.

One thing that bothered me was hearing a few guests complain when they didn't seem to know how to estimate the time they needed for their food. Clients should treat the staff with more respect. The staff themselves were friendly and professional, always taking care of what I needed, and I was never disturbed during room cleaning. It's a lovely, safe and quiet place near the sea. I had a great stay and highly recommend it.
