That birthday cake the team arranged for my wife was such a thoughtful surprise and made the trip feel extra special. We felt looked after from the minute we arrived, thanks to the warm service. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed unwinding by the well-kept, clean pool in the afternoons. Every meal was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We booked this place for its spa and paid extra for full access during our stay. That turned out to be a big mistake. My massage began normally, but the therapist stopped about a third of the way through and went out to smoke. He said we were late, though we were only a few minutes behind because staff gave us bad directions and nobody was at the spa desk. Children were running wild and screaming loudly enough to carry into the massage rooms. It felt more like a low class public pool than a relaxing spa. The whole experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional, and after that we avoided the facility even though we had paid for it. The room problems began at check in: we were given the wrong type and had to switch. The replacement was filthy, with visible fecal matter on the bathroom floor. My husband had just finished a ten hour drive, and I wasn't going to make him haul everything back to the desk to deal with more indifference, so I cleaned it myself. The room was also worn down. The curtains were torn, the faucet dripped, and the carpet was heavily stained. The shower was so cramped it was hard to move. One light didn't work and another was connected to the wrong switch. The heating ignored its settings and made the room too hot. We slept with the balcony door open, breathing cigarette smoke from the neighbors. One man kept leaning around the divider to stare into our room, which felt intrusive and unsettling. Breakfast was mostly canned food, and the so-called juice tasted artificial. The restaurant advertised a long wine list, but most of the better bottles weren't available, and the waiter didn't recognize some of the wines on the menu. Checkout was another problem. Restaurant charges added to the room came without a receipt to sign, and staff wouldn't give me an itemized statement before I paid. The printout they handed me afterward showed the sea view room charge was fifty percent too high. I showed the reservation email, but the receptionist said it didn't matter because she was using the prices on a sign behind her. After twenty minutes of arguing, they returned the difference. It felt like an attempt to take my money, and they definitely took up my time. When I brought up everything that had gone wrong, the manager gave a shallow apology, then got condescending and dismissive. Like in the hotel's replies to reviews here, she insisted nobody else had ever had these problems. The attitude fit the property: careless, defensive, classless, and not interested in basic standards. They claim four stars, but it felt like a neglected roadside stop. The stay wasted our time and money. A basic highway guesthouse would have been better. I don't recommend this hotel.

The heated pool was lovely, and the reception and bar area looked great. The room was clean, though its furniture felt very worn. Breakfast let the place down: poor food selection and quality, no service, and you had to hunt for your own cutlery. There wasn't even salt or pepper. The coffee was the one decent part. When I tried to share this feedback at checkout, the reception team didn't seem interested. A pity, because it didn't feel like good value for money and I wouldn't come back.

The pool was pleasant and the water was warm, and the food was alright, though nothing special. In September the bar shuts at 20:30. As for the rooms, the superior ones are fine, but I wouldn't say the same for the standard rooms.
