Hotel Pestera

The service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding, from the quality of the meat to the lovely presentation. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Pestera with my five-year-old son. The facilities were incredible, with a great spa, several saunas and treatments. He had plenty to enjoy, from the snow, park and open space outside to the indoor kids’ area and playground. Our room was modern, minimalist and very comfortable, with clever smart technology. We both slept perfectly and came away feeling relaxed. It’s a rare place that brings together luxury, good design and comfort for families. Highly recommend.

The location is wonderful, though the road getting there is a disgrace. Madu from the restaurant was so kind and helpful, and service was really fast. The new Pestera Hotel building looks lovely, with large rooms that manage to be both functional and design-focused, a combination that can be hard to find. I especially liked how quiet the rooms and restaurant were. The spa is nice, with a large pool and high quality finishes. Food was okay, though we wanted more variety in the entrees. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including nice bread and a pancake station.

The spa could use clearer separation between adult areas and spaces for kids. Children in the big pool, saunas and jacuzzi can make it crowded. It’s also on the pricey side, at around 1300 lei per night even when booked two months ahead. Still, it was an excellent stay. The hotel is cozy and has great views, and the rooms are spacious, very clean, quiet and secluded. The restaurant offers a varied menu and breakfast has lots of options. It’s close to Peștera Ialomiței and the Pestera cable car, both great places to visit nearby. I definitely recommend it.

Everything was organized so well that the stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel is beautiful, with a great location and truly premium service. The restaurant was a highlight, especially the waiter Madushanka, who was attentive, professional and really friendly. Highly recommend!
