The valley views are incredible, and there are plenty of hikes nearby, from lakes and waterfalls to mountain slopes. It’s a peaceful spot away from the crowds, with comfortable rooms and a welcoming family who are always ready to help. The food was healthy, local, and delicious. A great place to get away from a busy routine and spend time in nature.

There’s a warm, familiar feel here, and the food is simple but good. A lovely base for hiking in Retezat, with nature and animals all around.

The building has a proper mountain feel to it, and the owners are lovely. Food was fantastic, and there are mountain trails nearby. It’s remote, which depends on what you’re after, but the closest village is only 5 minutes away and you can get food and drinks here. Really recommend it.

The hosts were wonderful and always willing to help. The room was perfectly fair for a 3 star hotel, with what you’d expect but nothing luxurious. Best of all, the night sky was amazing. I saw the Milky Way with my own eyes for the first time, instead of in pictures.

The rooms are roomy and have what you need, and the location is easy to get to with a great view. There’s plenty to do indoors, including ping pong, PS4, Monopoly, and Catan, plus some outdoor activities. The set menu allows a few small changes. For the price, it’s very good, though the Wi-Fi is below average for remote work.
