The park seemed geared mostly toward children, but it was completely deserted when we visited on a Saturday. I tried the archery and wouldn’t recommend it unless you already know what you’re doing. Five arrows cost 10 RON, which isn’t much if you also get proper guidance. The two staff members had no archery experience, yet kept giving me incorrect instructions. They even insisted I put the arm guard on the wrong arm until I showed them Google photos of archers. They didn’t know the right shooting form either.

The active park wasn’t much to write home about, especially after visiting the Salt mine in Parajd (Praid). They wouldn’t let my 9 year old try the medium difficulty climbing route with me, and after repeating the same short path a few times, even the younger kids had had enough. The other attractions were closed too. The hostel itself is basic for what feels like a hotel price. You have to pay by bank transfer, which costs a lot and can’t be cancelled. When we arrived, they said they’d received only part of the amount. After some arguing, I didn’t have to pay the difference.

There’s plenty to do in this lovely park, and staying overnight at the hostel was nice too. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The kids had lots to play with, the space was good, and the people were great. Food was very good too. My only downside was the prices.
