DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Oradea

We really appreciated the service. We arrived early on a rainy morning, with few other things to do, and they let us check in even though we hadn’t expected it. The rooms and amenities were really good, and so were the pool and spa. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, though I enjoy walking, so I didn’t mind the distance. That’s the only downside I found.

The staff made this stay for us. Everyone was warm and welcoming, especially the hotel restaurant team. We arrived for dinner just 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, but they still took our order and went out of their way to make us a lovely meal. The food was amazing, and we’ll definitely come back. The room was clean and spacious, and good value too.

Good food, and Ms. Aida in the restaurant was the best. I’d call it the best hotel in Oradea.

Breakfast was quite good, and the room was clean and comfortable. Still, the facilities felt limited for a hotel in this category, especially the elevators. At busy times we had to wait a long while. The dinner problem was more disappointing. About ten minutes after my order was confirmed, the restaurant told me the dish I’d chosen wasn’t available. We said politely that it was fine, but this shouldn’t happen at a hotel of this standard. Then we were charged for the drinks we’d had while waiting. That response after a service mistake reflects badly on the place. Staff should be trained to handle these situations more professionally, and a small goodwill gesture could turn a mistake into a better experience. It was an average stay, not bad, but below what I usually expect from a DoubleTree hotel.
