Akasha Retreat

The view from the retreat is breathtaking, and the place felt like a home away from home. I also had the best meal of my trip so far. The mashed beans with caramelized onions were unreal, a full 10/5. The Bran Bulz, creamy polenta filled with cheese and sausages and topped with a runny egg, and the pork neck with mashed potatoes and pickles both get 5/5 from me. Pure comfort food.

I stumbled on Akasha Retreat by chance, and it turned out to be much better than I expected. Tucked into the lush hills of Transylvania, it’s a cozy, well-kept hotel with a really warm feel. I loved the location, the rooms, the food, and the yoga classes. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

That full-moon soak in the jacuzzi, with moonlight on the snowy peaks, is a memory we’ll carry with us. It felt almost sacred, like time had paused for a moment. We left feeling nourished, grateful, and deeply connected to ourselves and nature. The Carpathian scenery was stunning, wrapped in shimmering snow. Morning yoga in the stillness of the mountains helped us feel grounded and inspired. Every meal was a delight, prepared with care, and the Indian buffet was especially memorable, full of warmth and flavor. Uca paid close attention to what we needed and lovingly arranged nourishing vegan options, which made us feel understood and welcome. From the moment we arrived, the space had a beautiful, peaceful energy that made us feel supported. Akasha feels like more than a place to stay, it was a transformative experience for our hearts, minds, and spirits. The price felt exceptional for the quality, and the retreat still seemed accessible. Every detail felt thoughtfully done with love.

I’ve been coming to Akasha Wellness Retreat, Peștera for the last three years, and it still amazes me. The view of the Piatra Craiului mountains is mesmerizing, and the place feels like a sanctuary for the soul. The food is healthy and really good. In winter, don’t miss the beef goulash and papanași. After a day exploring, the yoga sessions help me unwind, and the jacuzzi and sauna with that view are just right. The staff are a big part of what makes it special. They’re kind, always smiling, and attentive without hovering. There’s a nice balance of simplicity, comfort, and self-care here. Summer weekends bring live music and bonfires under the stars. I’m already counting down to my return this July! 🏔️✨
