We came back today just to get some garlic sauce for our barbecue because the staff were so helpful and it was some of the best we’ve tasted. We first came across the place by chance and were surprised to find a vegetarian menu, with some vegan options too. If you’re in the area, ask whether they can prepare something “de post,” meaning fasting food without animal products. They’ll know exactly what you mean.

The owners and the restaurant lady were both thoughtful, and we enjoyed the good food at fair prices. There’s an indoor playground that was OK, plus an outdoor one that looked a bit outdated. The location is undeniably beautiful, facing the stunning Bucegi Mountains, but the rooms are basic, with old-fashioned furniture. They were clean. The shower was disappointing: clogged with hair, moldy, marked with yellow stains, and leaking. Loud music was playing in the yard when we arrived, which was disappointing because we prefer quiet and the view. Later, some guests played loud music on a portable speaker. I’d suggest the owners ask guests to keep music down when others are staying, especially in the evening. One other suggestion: the crib could use a thicker mattress. They’re cheap, and I’m sure families would appreciate it.

We had lunch on the terrace and enjoyed the food and breathtaking view. Service was quick and friendly, and the place was welcoming for families, including babies. Most of the menu is traditional Romanian food, with limited vegetarian choices, though that might be something they could improve.
