Hotel La Belle Epoque

The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with tasty food at prices that felt affordable. My room was spacious, clean, and nice and warm, and the staff were so welcoming that check-in went smoothly. The atmosphere made a great impression from the moment I arrived. I'd stay again whenever I'm in the area. Super!

The burgers arrived after an hour and were cold. I asked for no mayo, pickles, or tomato, but all of them were in there. The server dropped the sauce and didn't speak English, though they were nice. Gabriella was really sweet.

The breakfast was a real letdown. There was barely any choice, the food seemed to be made from very cheap, industrial ingredients, and all they had was filter coffee. No jam or honey, and once the plates were empty they weren't topped up. We didn't even get a good morning when we walked in, and there was no cutlery. We ended up leaving to eat somewhere else. The room itself, though, was large, clean, and well equipped, more like a four-star room by European standards than one in a three-star hotel. The hotel is beautiful, too. Friendliness at reception was inconsistent: just one of the three people we met greeted us warmly. I'd recommend it for the rooms and the hotel, but don't expect a good breakfast.

We spent two nights here for a friend's wedding. The traditional dishes at the wedding were the best part, really tasty. The hotel is right in the town center and easy to reach, and having private parking was handy. Staff were friendly both at check-in and during the wedding. The rooms were clean and larger than those in many hotels I've stayed at.
