The playground outside is a nice bonus for kids, with a climbing wall and a children’s menu inside. I think that’s where the restaurant name comes from, since “escalade” means climbing in French and resembles the Romanian “a escalada.” After a long day skiing and snowboarding, we stopped in to unwind and eat. The food came quickly and tasted great, and the atmosphere was lovely too. I’ve been here a few times over the years and it’s been just as good each time. I definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with a surprisingly good selection and attentive staff who kept everything topped up. I especially enjoyed the honeycomb and smoked salmon, which you don’t find everywhere. Lunch and dinner were lovely too. We had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly, always smiling and wishing us a good day, and they kept the hotel spotless with constant cleaning. Thank you.

The playground next door was a lifesaver with our little one, and the restaurant itself had the best food we tried in town. We were staying at another hotel, but came here for the traditional homemade food. The meat was excellent, as was the cheesecake and the beer selection, and the staff were great too. We really liked the atmosphere at Escalade Restaurant and recommend giving it a try.

There are plenty of things to do here, from bowling and the gym to the nice pool and jacuzzi. Our stay was very satisfying. The hotel is clean and modern, and the staff are polite and helpful. A special thanks to Andrea at reception for upgrading our room.

The food was good, and I liked the location and decor. The pool and spa were nice too. Service wasn’t very good, though, and the staff came across as unfriendly.
