Hotel Ruia

The outdoor playground is great for little kids, and the hotel itself was clean and lovely. Staff were especially kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back, though the food could use improvement: many menu items weren’t available, and the prices felt high for the quality.

We’ve already stayed twice, and it’s been a great experience each time. The people are warm, flexible, and focused on guests. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, with heated floors, and the food is good. It’s about one bus stop from the ski slopes. The parking is secured, and it’s kid friendly, with a huge outdoor playground and plenty of green plants. There’s even a massage chair in the hallways. Card payments and vacation vouchers are accepted.

We’d happily come back. The hotel is quiet and nicely situated near other restaurants and clubs, with large, clean rooms and a garden that works well for families and children. Staff were friendly, smiling, and helpful, and the Romanian food was delicious.

We used to stop here after hiking from Brasov for lovely tea and coffee. That’s over now. An older manager dismissed us, saying they don’t accept small orders like a few cups of tea from outside the hotel. It seems politeness depends on how much you spend.
