Vila Cristalfrost was good value, and we had a perfect vacation there. We stayed in the apartment for 7 nights in February. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a large comfortable bed, a sofa bed and a nicely sized bathroom. It was well placed for the ski lifts, with lots of restaurants nearby. Thank you. If I come back, I'll stay here again.

After skiing, we went to use the pool and found out we had to pay the full price. The hotel advertised it as included in the room price, so the supposed “partnership” just raised our hopes and we never used it. When we arrived, our rooms were still being cleaned and weren't ready, even though we had hoped to leave our bags and go skiing. It also took ages to reach the owner, who joked, “atleast we have heat,” as if the situation were funny.

The beds were comfortable, and we managed for one night, but the rooms and service were awful despite the nice area. Booking the top floor was a mistake; it shouldn't be accessible at all. There was no staff around, just a key left in the door. The shower felt like a “trust me i'm an engineer” design. I'm 6ft tall and couldn't stand up straight, and the toilet and rooms had the same problem.

Service could be better, though for a short stay it was acceptable. The room was spacious and warm, with a balcony, and the location is convenient, about 450m on foot from the skilift. A dog barked all night, and noise from the corridors and dining room was very disruptive. Still, given that this is one of the cheapest places in Poiana, it's a comfortable enough option for the low price.
