Hotel Onix

We left behind a rucksack with expensive branded perfumes, makeup, and electric toothbrushes. They had our phone number and details from check-in, so the normal thing would have been to contact us. Instead, when we called about the bag, we were told the whole thing had been binned. Its market value was over €700. I don't believe that. The receptionist was tall, bald, arrogant, and rude. If you want dishonest staff, dirty rooms, and your belongings thrown away, this is the place. I'd suggest looking at RancaSki Pension instead. It has excellent food throughout the day and night, sits on the ski slope, and is easy to park at and reach.

We weren't staying at Onix, but its location meant our four families, with eight children, ate there for lunch and dinner two days in a row. Every time we ate there, the bill was wrong because they had added something, and it had to be changed. The last time, we were having lunch when the owner's wife said we could order until 16:00. At 16:30 she came over and told us to leave because the kids wouldn't sit still and she needed to clean. We tried to talk it through, but she was extremely rude. She told us, and I'm quoting exactly, that we could write a review because “she doesn't give a f...”. I've met a lot of jerks in my life, but nothing like this. The furniture is old, the service is awful, and the toilets were dirty. We went because options were limited and it was right at the base of the ski slope. The owners' “Stone Age” attitude ruined our vacation. The food was medium to poor, the service bad, and the attitude miserable. I wouldn't recommend going there even to my worst enemy. I'll stop here, because I can't find words for them. Calling them animals would be insulting to animals.

The place was clean and well arranged, and the location is perfect. But the bed was only okay, and the cheap pillows could leave your neck hurting for a week. A room facing the road doesn't really have the view they describe. And don't even think about going into the restaurant. Just being realistic.

The rooms were alright for what we paid, but I wouldn't say the same about the restaurant. My chicken was warm on the outside and cold inside. I ordered pickled salad too, and it came already chopped up. I usually chop any leftover pickled salad myself if I can't finish it, so another customer won't be served the same salad. Restaurants do that. Maybe that's why the owner put up a big sign at reception saying guests aren't allowed to eat or drink food bought elsewhere in their hotel rooms. You're supposed to order the rest of the chopped salad you ate the day before.
