There’s plenty to enjoy outside, from the pool and lit courts for tennis, football and basketball to a garden fireplace surrounded by stone benches for roasting marshmallows. The rooms are uniquely decorated and reflect the family’s legacy. A lovely spot to spend time with friends or family.

We first found this place during the 2020 pandemic and have come back several times with five families and our children. There’s enough here that we never felt we had to leave the property to find something to do. The kids could run around, use the playgrounds and, in summer, swim or try the zip line. They also enjoyed picking vegetables from the small garden. The adults had the tennis and football courts, and we all made marshmallows by the campfire. The guesthouse has a lot of indoor space too, so the children can play and adults can relax when the weather is bad. It suits both small groups of friends and larger families looking for time together in nature.

The views were spectacular, the hosts were wonderful, and the value for money was incredible. It’s the best place we’ve visited in the area.

The surrounding views were the highlight of our stay. The pension was comfortable and cosy, and we had a wonderful time there.
