Pensiunea Lacramioara

The spacious room and great shower were the only bright spots. There were disappointments everywhere else. The indoor pool water wasn’t properly filtered, with hair, grease, and all sorts of particles floating on the surface. Of the four pool showers, two didn’t work, and the other two barely did. Breakfast offered very few choices and felt more like a transit restaurant menu than a guest-house restaurant. The food was greasy and came in small portions. The cooking oil smelled as if it had been used for fish and cheese without being changed. Work in the backyard was also noisy, often starting around 6-7am, and the tools could be heard clearly in the guest rooms. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We weren’t satisfied with the experience. The food was okay, but nothing special, and the juices we ordered were quite warm, which was especially unpleasant on a summer day. The prices weren’t all that cheap either.

A handy place to stop and rest during a journey. The rooms are nice, and there’s a swimming pool and sauna.

The atmosphere is priceless, and the food and accommodation were both 10/10. You’ll need a reservation if you plan to stay, since it’s fully booked even during summer. Service can be a little slow in maybe one case out of a thousand. When it happened to me, the staff were working overtime and had barely slept, so be understanding. Even then, service has been faster here than anywhere else I’ve been. I’m looking forward to my next "maramuresan experience" and already know the perfect place to stay: Sacel and it's welcoming people.
