The service was very good, and quite a few things worked well: the soups were fresh and tasty, the cheese polenta was very good, and the vegetable stew would have been excellent if it hadn’t been so salty. The mashed potatoes were so watery I couldn’t eat them, and the meat on the skewer didn’t seem very fresh. It’s a decent restaurant overall, and with a little more care it could easily be a 5 star place.
I wouldn’t recommend the hotel restaurant at all. About half the menu wasn’t available, and what we did get was terrible. Their bolognese pasta was nothing like it should be, it had meat from cabbage rolls in it, rice included.
Two years ago I found it very different. I was happy at first to come back today, but the food and service were awful, especially the service.
The food was bad, and service depends on luck. Some of the staff are great, while others are bad.
The hotel is fine, but there’s no parking space available.
