We were glad to have parking right in front of the house and to be so close to the city center. We could go for walks in the daytime or evening and be back within ten minutes. Our room was pretty and very clean, and the host was nice and accommodating. Breakfast had a good variety and everything was fresh. We’ll recommend the place to our friends.

We had planned seven nights and stayed for eight. The hosts were so welcoming, and the location was exactly what I wanted for easy access to Old Town. The Big Square took about five to seven minutes to reach at a leisurely pace. We arrived with our 10-month-old, and the room had enough room for the cot the property provided, which I’d requested ahead of time. There was space for bottles, bottle warmers, and baby food too. The linens and towels were fresh and clean, and changed daily, even though we asked them to skip one day. Toiletries were supplied as well, though we’d brought our own. They even helped us find a pacifier we’d somehow misplaced in the room! 😂 Breakfast was enough for us, and there was always fresh fruit and yogurt for the baby. We enjoyed our stay and would return next time we’re in Sibiu.

We called before trying to book through Booking.com because we were due to arrive a little late and wanted to check they could accommodate us. The receptionist was extremely rude from the start. In a passive-aggressive tone, she said we should check availability with them before making any Booking reservation. When we pointed out that Booking showed rooms available, she told us to “sleep at” Booking :). I wouldn’t recommend them.

Please leave this review up. It may help guests whose standards or expectations differ. There was no air conditioning, and the walls were so thin you could hear neighbors sneeze. Getting fresh air wasn’t really possible because someone was always smoking on the small terrace or balconies. The breakfast buffet was just a small selection of average grocery-store food. Cheap sliced salami, plastic cheese, and watered-down cheap coffee, nothing fancy, and more like that. Some electrical outlets weren’t secured to the wall, with wires sticking out of uncovered holes. That felt dangerous, and it’s surprising the owners hadn’t dealt with it. There was a thick layer of damp dust on the poorly insulated wires, so it clearly hadn’t just happened the day before. The bathroom had rusty hooks and hangers, mold in the shower corners, a leaking shower cabin, and a partly blocked drain with hair from previous guests. The pillowcases on the small pillows hadn’t been changed after the previous guests. They weren’t visibly dirty, but they were clearly unironed and still smelled of perfume. There’s no parking, except for a few spots, if you’re lucky, on the greenery by the riverbank. That’s unfriendly to both cars and nature. Given the poor upkeep and low quality of the room and amenities, it was a bit too expensive.
