The front of house staff were extremely nice, polite, and helpful. The neighbourhood was quiet, there was off-street parking for an extra fee, and it was close to Sibiu town centre. We had the attic room, though, and the cleaning left a lot to be desired. Over four nights, the sheets were never changed and the bed was made only once, no better than we had done ourselves. They replaced the complimentary water every day, which was a nice touch, but left the dirty glasses and mugs, so we had to wash them in the sink. The bathroom had a faint sewage smell. Neither the shower nor sink drained properly, and water overflowed the shower basin onto the bathroom floor, soaking the towel. The plastic strip at the bottom of the shower door was hanging off and leaked water outside the shower. They replaced the wet towel, but never fixed the strip, so there was another drenched towel every day. The fridge didn’t work and made the milk we bought curdle. The carpets seemed old and gave the room a stale smell. Other rooms don’t seem to have carpet, so I guess we were unlucky. I find hotel carpets dreadful and unhygienic.

The owner upgraded my room to a small apartment at no extra cost. The hotel is excellent value, with an ideal location about an 8-minute walk from the main street. I highly recommend it.

The reception was mediocre, with no explanation or hospitality. They just asked for my ID number and handed over the key, and at checkout the receptionist simply said bye. I was there with my husband two weeks ago for the weekend. The room price was cheap, but breakfast for two cost more than the room per night, so we skipped it. As a Romanian, I know where to go for breakfast. If I remember right, reception closes at 7pm, and after that you need your key to get into the hotel. It’s okay for a 3-star hotel, but it isn’t a 4-star one. The room was kind of dirty: the carpet was filthy with food and dirt, there was dust, and the shower was full of mold. We stayed two nights. On the second day they only took out the trash, and there wasn’t even toilet paper in the room. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the center, which felt freezing in winter, two weeks ago, with -10 degrees and snow.

The service was good, and breakfast had plenty of options. It’s a nice place to stay within walking distance of the city center, with cozy, clean rooms. I recommend it.

The staff were outstanding and so friendly. We were on a quiet street just a few steps from the old town, and the room was large. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable and clean. The spacious bathroom was clean too, with great water pressure. I also liked that they provided wash cloths, something I haven’t seen in many European hotels. I highly recommend this location.
