Vila Romana

I had such a good time here. I loved the food, rooms, location and service, and my parents thought it was very cheap. I’d definitely recommend it.

The food was a highlight for me. Breakfast was very nice, and the Tochituri was excellent. The staff didn’t speak English or German, so we had to communicate using Google Translator. Paying by card was possible, though clearly not their preference. The Wi-Fi worked in the restaurant but not in my room. I arrived at 5 p.m. on the first evening, but couldn’t get into my room because cleaning was still underway. I stayed for two days and there was no more cleaning. The bathroom had no hot water, and its condition suggested the cleaning hadn’t been very thorough.

It’s peaceful and cozy up in the mountains. The view from the place itself isn’t especially impressive, but drive a little and you’ll find the “wow” on the way, in Romania’s beautiful mountains.

The food was good and reasonably priced, but the restaurant is limited and only has one waiter. The rooms are old, the furniture flimsy, and the view isn’t much.
