We only found out after booking a townhouse that pets aren't allowed. The listing's policy still described the place as pet friendly, so we called the owners to confirm and they told us they don't accept animals of any kind. It would help if changes to the rules were also updated on booking sites so guests know what to expect. I keep wondering what we would have done after a six-hour drive if we hadn't called.

We've stayed here twice now. The hostess is warm and friendly, and it's a really lovely place. I'd recommend it.

The apartment was clean and had what I needed, with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The bed was exceptional, and even though it was 10 degrees outside, the radiators were blazing hot. The only thing I'd improve is the rather weak lighting. It's a distinctive place near two lakes, with fresh air and a peaceful feel. There's also a porch and a barbecue area, and it reminded me of Austria at a low price. It's close to different parts of Maramures, about an hour from Mocanita and just a few steps from the Village Museum in SIghet.
