They book more rooms than they have available, then blame the guests and booking platforms for their own management problems. It’s the staff’s job to check bookings across platforms. The staff were incompetent and arrogant, and we had a bad experience, especially because we were arriving with children for a marriage the day before and expected to be near the wedding location. We were told there were no rooms booked for those guests, and had to argue just to be considered and offered an alternative. The next day, there were also some very shady people coming into the hotel. They even told one guest who was staying there that they hadn’t checked in, though they had, and said they would be charged extra for not checking in. If you can’t manage all your booking platforms, use one system instead of blaming guests. The hotel also cancelled a booking made well in advance because of a price change, forcing the guest to rebook at a higher rate. That’s inadmissible. Don’t take bookings so far in advance if you’re that greedy.
