We got clear instructions for getting into our room, so the host didn’t need to be there. The room was clean, ready for us, and decorated in a traditional style. The house is just past the fortress entrance, close to everything important in Sighisoara. A top experience.

There’s a shared kitchen with everything you need in the basement, and it looks nice. Breakfast isn’t provided, so you can come prepared or eat somewhere nearby. The host was kind and helpful, and the place was very clean with easy access. Getting there by car can be difficult during some periods, like festivals. On a normal day, you may find a spot near the house. If you don’t have much luggage, you can leave the car in the parking lot at the bottom of the hill. It’s a great place to stay in the fortress.

The rooms were immaculate, cleaner than anywhere I’d stayed in Romania before, and the basement kitchen was a handy extra, with a kettle, fridge, coffee, mugs and plates. Mr. Neluțu, the owner, welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around. The next day, his cousin, who looked after the rooms and facilities, was so friendly and did everything she could to make us feel welcome. She even brought my mom fresh coffee early in the morning when she saw my mum couldn’t get down to the basement because of her disability. That kind of passion and dedication is hard to beat. Thank you for everything!

There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a living room downstairs. Our room was clean and lovely, furnished in a medieval style that made it feel in step with the city. It also had plenty of towels, a hair dryer and other little details. The host was kind and helpful to newcomers, suggesting good places to eat and things to visit. We had a beautiful stay at "Casa Richter" and recommend it.
