The hotel was clean, though pretty worn. Hot water came straight away, and the staff were kind, efficient, and spoke English. The bed was fine on one side, but the other side was too worn to sleep comfortably. Since it’s close to the road, it’s easy to get to, though traffic may bother light sleepers. It’s a hotel where senior citizens come for holidays and treatments, so there’s no loud music or partying around. Breakfast was good, and they kindly packed the leftovers into sandwiches for our drive.

The breakfast was awful, small, bland, and very limited. If you don’t like cheese, there’s hardly anything to choose from. Everything else about my stay was a 12/10, though. The rooms were stunning, the views were beautiful, and the staff were wonderful.

The room itself was fine, clean and spacious, and the TV, minibar, and bathroom all worked. We didn’t try the restaurant because other tourists had left bad reviews. Getting to the town center takes a 30-40 minute walk, or about five minutes by car or taxi. If you drive, though, you’ll have to pay to park near the center. We couldn’t get any sleep after checking in because workers were drilling hard in a room down the hall. The staff must have known about the noise, but nobody warned us or offered another room, even a twin room. When I asked after we went out to eat and get away from it, the receptionist just shrugged kindly and said, “They’ll be leaving soon.” That wasn’t what I expected for 140 RON (about 31 EUR) a night, even if it was good value otherwise.

The hosts seemed upset and weren’t very friendly. The food was basic and sometimes not very good. It’s hard to get to Sinaia without a car, and this place doesn’t deserve three stars.
