Pensiunea Zetevar

We had good breakfasts and dinners, and the accommodation was fine for the price, with food included. I liked how refreshing the grounds felt in summer, with lots of trees and restaurant tables beside the river. There’s a big trampoline and swings for kids, and Zetea dam is very close by.

The room and the surroundings were clean and pleasant, and there’s a small play area for children. But the noise was unbearable: there was a wedding during our stay, the music went on until 3 am, and our room was right beside the event venue. Cars were parked everywhere, and the play area was full because of the event too. The host’s attitude was the most disappointing part. She seemed focused on the wedding and didn’t make us feel like we mattered as customers. She hadn’t checked the booking and, judging by our name, told us we were at the wrong place, though we weren’t. At 5 pm, three hours after check-in began, she was still asking the maids whether the room was ready. We were given a room with a shared balcony, something the booking hadn’t mentioned. She rushed through showing us the room, didn’t explain where breakfast or dinner would be, and quickly left.

Tucked away in the forest, it’s a really cozy and comfortable place, with lovely people. They could do with learning more of the national language, though.

A gorgeous, peaceful spot for hiking or cycling, or just taking it easy. The traditional food was tasty too.
