The location is nice, but that’s about all I can say in the establishment’s favor. I tried to get a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and sat for ten minutes without anyone serving me. When I went inside to ask the waiters, they said a wedding afterparty was happening on the outdoor terrace, which was why nobody had come over. I moved to the "front terrace," but still got no service and ended up finding a menu myself. I did manage to order a drink. Once it arrived, the waiter warned that my food could take about an hour, so I gave up, paid for the drink, and left. Maybe the food is delicious, but I never got to try it. Management should close for the day, or at least put up a notice, if an event has left them too understaffed to serve other customers in a reasonable time.

Marian served us, and he was professional, attentive, and even spoke English. The place was quiet and clean, with nice decor. The traditional local food was very good and reasonably priced.

We waited a long time even though there were only four families there, including ours. Still, the food was amazing. I ordered Ciorba Radauteana and Plato’s, and I’ve never had traditional dishes this exquisite. The ciorba is a chicken soup with its own distinctive, slightly sour and creamy taste. Plato’s comes with different kinds of meat. The staff were polite, and the large place has outdoor seating in a typically Romanian wooden building.

We picked Domeniul Haiducilor as we came into Suceava City. It’s a lovely base for heading out to different mountain peaks, and today we’re climbing Rarău Peak.
