It was okay, but the road noise is really annoying.

They say pets are welcome, but there’s a 50 lei charge for a pet that isn’t mentioned. And while the hotel has a pool, nowhere does it say you have to pay separately to use it. We were barely allowed to sit on the terrace with our dog while eating, and otherwise couldn’t take the dog anywhere beyond the room. That doesn’t feel dog friendly at all. The staff weren’t welcoming either. At meals we had to wait a long time for someone to notice us, and ended up calling them over ourselves each time. The rooms are old, and the toilet was broken. I don’t recommend it.

The pool had a great atmosphere and the prices seemed fair, so it felt like good value at first. But we found no usable fridge or cooler in the room, even though one was listed, and there wasn’t a hairdryer there either. The saltwater pool wasn’t working. After the hosts replied, I checked again: was the fridge in the room we stayed in, or was it microscopic? They said hairdryers were kept at reception, but customers wouldn’t know that since it wasn’t stated, and they’re usually in the bathroom. They also said they don’t own the saltwater pool and it isn’t listed as a facility. I attached a photo of the website wording about it. The hosts said the mini fridge was built into the large wardrobe. They thanked me for the feedback and visit, said they hoped to see us again, and wished us a nice day.

The pool is still there this year, though apparently it won’t be next year. We spent our days walking around the city, so the place was okay as somewhere to sleep, but I wouldn’t choose it to spend time at. Some room furniture needs replacing, and the cleanliness didn’t fully satisfy me. Staff in several departments often seemed bored and weren’t very nice, although the guy at breakfast was polite and pleasant.
