There’s a good choice on the menu for dinner, and the room was spacious and pleasant. I did miss having a hairdryer, though. When you’re travelling with limited space, it’s an essential, and I imagine plenty of women motorcyclists and cyclists take this route.

We stopped for the restaurant, and the location was lovely. Service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. The meal was OK to good, though the prices were steep, at least 30% more than any other restaurant within 70 km. The surrounding mountains are high, but the prices were too.

The view really stays with you, and the staff were sweet and polite. The portions are huge, so even if you’re not hungry, you’ll still need to eat here 😉 The papanaș was delicious and very well made. You can see in the picture how nicely the dough turned out, with lemon zest in it. The vegetable soup (borș de legume) was packed with vegetables too. We were just passing by, spotted the terrace and hotel, and stopped for lunch because we were famished. We didn’t stay overnight, and I’m so glad we stopped.
