The room was clean and warm, and the restaurant food was super tasty. We had two lovely days at this guesthouse. The owner gets 10 points for helping us with the accommodation bill. I recommend it! Greetings from Brașov!

The accommodation conditions leave a lot to be desired, and the staff are no better. The table setting feels more like a cafeteria. For a 3-star place like Petru, the rooms especially should be in better condition.

This was a total failure. At first it seemed things would be fine, since the owner contacted me about switching rooms so we could stay with the other family. They had booked directly with the hotel a month after I did. I paid 450 lei through travelminit for 2 adults and an 8 year old child, breakfast included. The other family paid 400 lei for 2 adults and 2 children with breakfast. So booking through an agency doesn’t seem worth it. The trouble was at the hotel. We arrived at 1:30 PM, though the travelminit email said check-in was at 1:00 PM, and there was no room ready for us. While we waited, we decided to eat there. We sat at a dirty table and nobody came over for 20 minutes. We asked a waitress who was serving other tables for menus and to wipe up the spill. She gave us a dirty look and walked on without saying anything. Another woman eventually came, took our order, and I asked her to keep the two families’ orders and bills separate and bring the food by family, since there were seven of us with quite a few dishes. She didn’t want to do that, and I don’t know why. I’ve never been refused that anywhere. Drinks came after 20 minutes, then we waited another hour for the food. One person got steak without a side, another got tochitura without polenta, and the food was inedible. Everyone was missing something from their order. We waited another 5, 10, then 15 minutes and asked the waitress to bring the rest, since what had arrived was already cold. She got annoyed and threatened to send the owner to deal with us. The owner came, understood the situation, and brought the missing food to the table within five minutes. In the end, we ate, and the food was good. Then we reached the room and found it had been cleaned in a rush. There was just one small, triangular window, only 7-8 centimeters wide. I didn’t think it would be a problem at first, but the heat and stuffiness made sleep impossible. I didn’t get a wink until 4 am. The room window was rolled down and wouldn’t open, and the bathroom window was rolled down too, though that one would only roll down again. I tried to get a little airflow to cool things off. DO NOT GO here in summer, at least. Maybe winter would be fine. We’d booked a triple room with a balcony through travel minit, but woke up to a room with no windows, which was awful. At breakfast, you can order up to 30 lei and pay there, so having breakfast included offered no advantage. I can even say it cost us more for 3 people than it did for the family of 4 who booked through the agency. In short, the lack of care here is at its worst!

I booked about 10 days ahead. The day before our stay, the owner called to say there had been a mistake and the entire guesthouse was rented out. He promised we’d still get the two rooms we’d originally reserved. But when we arrived the next day, we were told he’d actually found us other accommodation elsewhere. Those rooms were OK, but the place was in an industrial area, with no food or breakfast available. Personally, I don’t trust this guesthouse much.
