Hotel Mures

The cream bedroom curtains felt a bit sterile and more like something for an office than a hotel room. Apart from that, I was very happy with the price and service. We stayed three nights in September, and the manager was excellent and very helpful. Everyone on staff spoke English, and the restaurant team were friendly and attentive. The food was good, the bed very comfortable, and the whole place was exceptionally clean.

The staff were polite and extremely helpful, and the room was clean with a nice balcony. The hotel is very basic, and it seems like it may once have been a dormitory. The equipment has seen better days: some electrical sockets were pulled out of the wall, though they still worked. There was no hair dryer. Breakfast was à la carte and included up to 20lei; anything beyond that cost extra.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, the baths were very clean, and there are plenty of parking spaces across from a Police station. But there were several problems. Check-in isn't until 4 PM, and cleaning staff disturbed us well before the 11 AM check-out. The room was only clean-ish, with stained walls and some lights that didn't work. A nearby church makes sleeping in on Sundays difficult, and sounds carry through the rooms, with doors and other things seeming to slam. The price is much too high for what's provided.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the 3* hotel was clean. The beds weren't very comfortable, and the walls are so thin we could hear people in the other rooms. There aren't many alternatives in winter, so we chose to stay here. We’ll most likely come back.
