The room was very clean, and the staff were really helpful. Everything was quite frugal.

I’m staying at Gil’s now, on my third day, and my experience has been very good. The location works well, and our quadruple room is spacious, clean, attractive, and has comfortable beds. It’s the largest room in the guesthouse, and it stays warm at night. The heating comes on after 6 in the evening, which makes sense since it’s already hot during the day. This place is definitely not a “jeg.” With competition so fierce in Turda, it’s hard to understand reviews that seem intended to mislead people and steer them away from lovely guesthouses like this one. If you’re deciding where to stay, I’d definitely consider Gil Guesthouse.

You can get to the city center in just a few minutes. This is a friendly little guesthouse, with a terrace, TV, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. The space is on the small side.

The price felt fair, and I’d happily recommend the place to hikers. The owner speaks English well, and the closed parking area gave us a sense of security. We could use the kitchen and dining room, and Wi-Fi was free. The room had clean bedding, and the bathroom was stocked with soap and toilet paper. There wasn’t a mosquito screen on the window, though, and the double bed creaked. Soundproofing could be better. Still, it had what we needed for a tourist’s simple stay, a place to relax and shower.
