Atra Doftana Boutique Hotel

The food was excellent, and the restaurant staff were very good. The setting is quite nice too, though the guidance could be better. Management and communication were poor, and when we asked to speak with the manager to give honest feedback, no one showed up. We were sent to the sauna without directions, and it wasn’t prepared. Wet wood in the restaurant fireplace made the room incredibly smoky. The campfire and ATV ride were badly organized. There are good ingredients here, but no management. Given the location, I think it should be pet-friendly.

The gnocchi with truffle were amazing. It’s a lovely lakeside restaurant, and the hotel also has nice rooms overlooking the lake and a sauna. I’ll definitely come back.

The rooms have a minimal design and a perfect view across the water. The restaurant is exquisite, with fine dining options. This is one of my favorite places in Romania.

I’ve stayed here three times and visited the restaurant several more. It’s a quiet, lovely spot close to Bucharest, and every dish has been great even as the menu has changed over the years. The Wi-Fi was pretty bad on my first visit, but they’ve improved it and it works as it should now. Orange mobile service is still limited or unavailable.
