Amphora

The beach setup was lovely, with plenty of space and great music, and the staff were pleasant and professional. I was especially impressed with the restaurant servers, and the food there was great. I highly recommend it, my experience was top notch.

The cooking here is really good, and I might even call it the best kitchen in Vama Veche. The dishes are homemade and clearly thought through. Even the simple polenta with eggs, cheese, and sour cream was so good.

I'm reviewing the hotel's restaurant. Breakfast runs until noon, and I'd recommend the omelette, especially the gurmand one if you want a huge portion. The dishes are good, though kind of expensive. Their whipped cream ice frappe, from either the restaurant or the beach bar, is one of the best I've tried. Try to sit away from the road, since passing cars kick up dust over the tables.

The calamari was outstanding, cooked just right, and the cocktails were classicly made. The seafood dishes impressed me too. Best meal I've had in the five months I've been visiting Romania.
