The jams and preserves at breakfast were a real highlight, and the food had plenty of local flavor with especially good quality. Our room looked across the valley toward the hills, and the kids enjoyed the swings, hammocks and trampoline. The hosts did so much to make things work for our whole group, from grandchildren to grandparents, even though we were quite demanding. Thanks for a lovely holiday for all of us, and wishing you the success you deserve.

I usually base myself in Iasi when I come from Los Angeles to Romania, but I make the drive here on every visit because it's so much fun. My family friends own the hotel, so I might be a little biased, but I still have to say the food is incredible, the scenery is fantastic, and the service is extraordinary. Five stars, and I'd absolutely recommend it.

Coming here every year has turned into a tradition, and we think of the place as a second home. It's peaceful because it's set back from the road, yet still easy to reach. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and both the setting and food are excellent. I'd give it more stars if I could, and definitely recommend it.

Villa d'or works really well for a stay with family or friends. It's near plenty of interesting places, including Rarău mountains and monasteries. The house has what you need, but it doesn't feel empty or anonymous, the owners' photos and belongings give it lots of personality.

The location makes it easy to visit places nearby, from Putna monastery and Rădăuți city to Gura Humorului and the monasteries. The food is excellent, and the people are amazing.
