Pension Iris

We ended up spending evenings in the hotel since it was too cold to go out, and the decorated shared spaces had different things to do. They were chilly, though, as the common areas weren't heated. Breakfast had plenty of variety, the rooms were spacious, and the staff were friendly. We really enjoyed the hotel's special feel and will definitely be back.

The location worked well, near the center and places like Kaufland and Profi. Our room was huge, clean, and cool enough without air conditioning. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee and juice were really bad, and the stay felt too expensive for what we got. Internet and TV weren't working. I only learned that when I called around 8:00 PM to ask what was wrong. There was also a building facade being renovated next door, and the noise woke you up every morning around 7:45-8:00 whether you wanted it to or not.

The rooms were huge and clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was reasonable, and they offer discounts for the Kaban restaurant, so ask about those. I would have rated it four stars, but we stayed during the coldest nights of Feb25 and the room was quite chilly. They gave us a heater, but heat kept escaping through the windows. The shared areas weren't heated either.

There was some traffic noise outside, though that's not really something the hotel can control. Otherwise, it was a superb, comfortable stay. The large rooms had everything we needed and were very clean.
