The hotel was a good distance from the castle and had a pool, spa, playground, and tennis court, which made it good for kids. But if you expect service like clean towels and toilet paper, or reliable creature comforts, this isn’t the place.

At this price, I expected more. There are no EV facilities, and they turned off the hot water for maintenance without giving any notice. The hotel badly needs some TLC: old, scratched or torn furniture, doors missing knobs, and dirty, damaged flooring in the hallway and elevator. Cleanliness needs work throughout, and there was no room service at all. The restaurant was overwhelmed, so service was very slow. The restaurant bathroom was terribly dirty, with an unbearable smell and you had to watch where you stepped.

The rooms are excellent and the view is decent, but some things need upgrading or repairing: the pool showers don’t work, the room sink overflows, and the sauna is out of order. The service was great, but the food was the worst part, with absolutely sub-par cooking.

The room was very nice and clean, with a big bed and a spacious balcony with a view. I gave only 2 stars because of the pool and spa area. There was a lot of mold on the walls and around the pool, and the jacuzzi water didn’t seem to be changed often, just recirculated.
