Arena apartment

There’s a great atmosphere in this arena, even if it probably isn’t the visiting team’s favorite place :) One downside: you can’t get beer during games. Maybe that has something to do with the history of fan behavior, but I’m only guessing.

The seating setup felt chaotic, with some broken seats and uncomfortable plastic chairs, and the entrance stayed open during the event so late arrivals kept disrupting people. The toilets were filthy, damaged and covered in graffiti, worse than a lot of station bathrooms. The whole venue was dirty, the security staff were unfriendly, and drinks were limited to beer, water, cola and popcorn in plastic cups. That might do for a sports match, but it doesn’t work for a concert or a proper evening out. I came back after many years and was really disappointed. It seemed okay about 15 years ago, but now it feels run-down and badly outdated, especially for live events. It needs renovation, better organization and more professional staff. I wouldn’t recommend it for concerts anymore.

Smoking is allowed inside, which is a big no for me. Lots of things are broken, too. And if you’ve got coins in your wallet, expect to have to donate them.

Red Star basketball is something everyone should experience. It’s impressive how the Arena can host so many kinds of events, from concerts and basketball to handball championships and even water polo, with swimming pools set up for the championship.
