The room we were given was so cramped that it felt unfit for people, and we’d already driven three hours to get there. We’d booked a room with a jacuzzi a few days earlier, with an email confirmation saying to arrive at 3 pm. When I called ahead, the person handling the accommodation said we should have contacted her sooner, that she wasn’t there, and that Booking had set things up that way. She said she’d ask someone to show us in. Once we arrived, though, it wasn’t the room we’d booked. I called her again, and she said the jacuzzi room was occupied and would be free the next day. I needed it that day. She also claimed Booking showed it as taken, though I had the email confirmation. This was hugely irresponsible and unprofessional. We trusted them with a nice weekend, and they treated us like idiots. I wish them the worst.
