Bohemian Studio

We stayed at Hotel Bohemian Garni – Skadarlija from 27-29 December 2025, after booking a double premium room in advance. At check-in, the receptionist said they’d done us a favor by upgrading us to a suite. But the room was on the fourth-floor attic level, poorly insulated and freezing. Even with the air conditioning running for hours, it barely warmed up, and we were cold throughout the stay. It didn’t meet premium or suite standards. At breakfast on 29 December, I found a hair on the cheese on my plate. When we told a staff member, he removed the plate, took the hair out, and brought the same plate back without apologizing. That was unacceptable for hygiene and basic respect toward guests. I have a photo of it. The same staff member also asked us to pay extra for filter coffee. After the hygiene issue, that felt extremely rude and unprofessional, especially since we’d paid for two nights. There was also a payment problem. We were told the charge would be in local currency, but our card was charged in USD, adding exchange costs that hadn’t been clearly disclosed beforehand. The room conditions, staff attitude, hygiene problem and unclear payment terms made for a very disappointing stay. We regret choosing this hotel and definitely don’t recommend it.

Milos was the star of our stay. When my sister lost her purse, he helped us find a taxi that accepted Visa and made a new hotel key. Then he got in touch to tell us the purse had been turned in by the street cleaners. Amazing! Thank you for making our stay pleasant. The room was big, with clean sheets and a clean bathroom, and a great view. It was quiet even on a busy street on a Monday night, and all the staff were pleasant and helpful.

We arrived early, but they arranged a room for us without making us wait until check-in time. When we kindly asked, they switched our room and even upgraded us. We enjoyed the hot tub and a comfortable stay, thanks to them.

There’s plenty happening nearby after dark, with lots of people out and restaurants staying open late. The main square is only a few minutes away on foot. I really liked the staff, and the room was clean and comfortable. I’d stay here again.
