The staff were lovely and helpful, but I’m not sure what I paid for. There were no slippers, the shower gel wasn’t attached in the bathroom, and the blanket and pillows looked quite tired. The room was just okay and didn’t really feel up to four-star standards.

Botanica Belgrade is in a peaceful spot that’s still central, and the room and breakfast were better than I expected for the price. I spent four days there and came away with nothing but good things to say about the hotel and its staff. Thanks, Botanica!

There’s no reception, and the place is remote. I’d booked an apartment with two rooms but was given one room with two beds instead. When I complained, they offered separate rooms, but at double the price. The service was really poor.

The reception is on a quiet street, but the rooms are in another building on the main road, with no elevator and nonstop noise. My stay was well below average. The air conditioning barely worked, so it got pretty cold, and they couldn’t provide parking even though I’d tried to book it in advance.
