We had a terrific time in Belgrade, helped along by all the restaurant, bar, and attraction recommendations the owner sent us. The apartment was very clean and felt brand new, with a great location and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in for a while. There was a plumbing issue at the original place, so they moved us across the street and kept the original price. The owner gave clear instructions for checking in and out on our own.

The place took a little getting used to. I’d assumed the whole building was a hostel, but here it’s a three-bedroom flat on the third floor, with guests sharing the kitchen and bathroom. The room was clean and nice, with a small balcony, though the bed and floor creak. By the end, I’d warmed to it. There’s plenty nearby: cafés and restaurants, a small supermarket, and a casino across the street. Republic Square is about a 10-minute walk. Tap water is safe to drink, and it’s good value if you’re on a budget or backpacking.

The shared kitchen and bathroom, as well as the entrance, were very clean. We had fresh towels and sheets, and there was a hairdryer, microwave, and basic kitchen equipment. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. If thin pillows don’t suit you, ask ahead for a thicker one. Milos and Andrijana were wonderful hosts to me and my girlfriend. The host welcomed us herself and went over the city map with local suggestions. We visited in winter, and the room stayed warm and cosy with the AC running.
