Room no.1 is the one to choose if you can, since it’s the only one with a balcony, chairs, and a pleasant street view. The room itself has basic furniture, and the shared bathroom was fine. It’s an old apartment building, which I actually liked as part of the experience. You’re right in the centre, at a tram stop, with Italian food, cafés, and shops just downstairs. Milos was a great host. We didn’t meet because we checked in late, but sorted everything easily over whatsapp. I really can’t fault anything. Thanks again Milos.

There were loads of mosquitoes while we were there. A fly screen on the balcony door and windows, or an electric repellent in the room, would help. One larger towel would also have been more useful after a shower. The host lady welcomed us warmly and was very helpful, with Milos also assisting over whatsapp. The location is good, right by Kalemegdan park. It’s around a 10-minute walk to the centre, perhaps through the park, and about 20 minutes to most tourist spots. Great value for the price.

I’m left feeling really shaken by how the owner handled this. After my reservation was confirmed, he sent an “important message” saying there was no room for me and that I should cancel. He said another group had booked earlier on a different site. That could have been true, and I was willing to accept it and give up the booking, but I asked him to show some proof. I’d spent the last three days deciding on this hotel and didn’t have time to start over. He never provided evidence, and the unexplained pressure to push me out left me mentally upset. Is an owner allowed to do this without giving an understandable, acceptable reason? I felt the treatment was racist.

The host was really kind and helpful, and the bathroom was spotless. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. In the shared kitchen there’s a kitchenette, kettle, and fridge, and the WiFi worked perfectly throughout. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
