For the low price, this is a comfy hostel and the staff were friendly, even when I arrived very late. The bathroom smelled a bit from the pipes, and the small sign made the place tricky to find, but neither was a major problem. One thing to know: the original central station is closed, so trains arrive at stations on the outskirts, probably "prokop," which is eventually supposed to become Belgrade’s main train station.

The staff were always kind and ready to help me use the map and find the places I wanted to see. I was visiting Belgrade as a tourist and hoped to see the famous monuments, buildings, and streets, and the Dream hostel team helped make it a great experience. My room was spacious, clean, and cozy, and there’s also a nice living room with a TV and a kitchen where I could make my own food. It was a wonderful stay at such a welcoming hostel. Thanks for all the help, I’ll definitely come back to Belgrade!

Jelena and Sanja were friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with them. The rooms had comfortable beds and plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked, and the lounge was lovely. The place is very clean and the design looks great. Still, it feels more like a hotel than a hostel, without the communal spirit I expected. When I offered to cook vegetarian food for a friend, which can be hard to find in Serbia, I learned she would be charged 6.50 euros just to visit. That's close to the cost of a bed or a restaurant meal, and I'd never heard of a hostel charging guests for a visitor before. I'd return for the quality, but not for the hostel atmosphere, which unfortunately isn't there.

The bathroom was awful: toilet paper often remained in the toilet because it wouldn't flush down. Noise was another problem. The walls are paper thin, and the doors are so loud that someone opening one can wake the whole hostel. I stayed two days while writing this, and won't stay a third. The first day was fine, and the worker was kind and helpful, but the second day showed me what the place is like. They also have fees that aren't made clear and can raise the cost of a stay by half. A visitor coming to your room is charged 1,160 dinars, around $10-11 for a couple of hours, nearly half the hostel price. Staff are only there for about eight hours, so you'd probably end up paying anyway. My girlfriend and I walked in and went to my room in front of staff, and nobody mentioned a charge. When the fee was explained, the staff member showed me a list of what seemed like other things they could charge for, too. There are hundreds of other hostels in Belgrade, and I think any of them would be better.

The view over Belgrade is wonderful, and the hostel feels very modern. My room was comfortable, the staff were polite and helpful, and I had a really good time there. I'll definitely come back :)
