Hedonist Hostel

The location couldn’t be better, with everywhere within walking distance, and the staff gave me great food recommendations for Beograd. I stayed for one night in February, and it felt like I had the place mostly to myself. The people working there were incredible, and this was easily my best hostel experience in every way. I’ll definitely return.

This is my favorite hostel. I’ve stayed several times and have never regretted it. It’s clean, has a great location, a shared kitchen and a nice patio, plus a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I first came here backpacking with a friend after a sleepless night on the Budapest train. I had a bad cold, we arrived around 6am without a reservation, and the last two beds were available. They let us lie down as soon as we got there instead of making us wait until 2pm or whenever. I slept and started to recover, and I’ll always be grateful. Most hostels would just offer the common room couch. That kindness is why I returned on my second trip to Belgrade, even though I usually prefer trying somewhere new. They treat you like family, and I’ve added more than half the staff on social media. You’re likely to meet good people here: I met one of my best friends while he was staying here, and made other friends on my second visit too. I love this place and won’t forget it.

The staff were amazing, especially Phillip, who led our working tour. The pub crawl wasn’t great, but quiz night was a lot of fun. There’s a good social area that doesn’t feel over the top, and the facilities were clean and comfortable.
