The location is the big plus, close to plenty of bars and restaurants, and I’d stay again if they gave the place a bit of a polish. The old hotel is tucked between much bigger buildings, so you can hardly see it from the street. There was construction going on, though it didn’t bother us much, and I couldn’t tell whether it was maintenance or an upgrade. I shared a twin room with a friend, and it was fine. The air conditioning worked, but its direction flap wouldn’t stay put unless tied, a problem other guests seemed to have too. The shower was okay, though water got out because there wasn’t enough screening. The self-closing toilet seat made standing up to pee awkward. The front desk staff had limited English but were very helpful. There are several lifts serving the floors.

We had a party next door, so being able to walk to our room mattered, and we stayed despite having read the bad reviews. Reception was friendly and well organized. The beds were clean and decent, but the bathroom smelled and quite a few things were broken. The rooms were pretty much as people had described. We were on the seventh floor and couldn’t hear the club. Ask for a non-smoking room if that’s what you want.

The best part is the location. It’s quiet and cozy, and the rooms are decent, but nothing special. Breakfast was nice. The bathrooms feel dated and aren’t great, and the woman at reception was rude for some reason.

This is about the casino, not the hotel. It’s improved a lot, though it’s still down in a basement. I’d go to the Grand Casino in New Belgrade instead.

The staff were kind and the breakfast was okay. Parking costs extra and is two blocks away. The location is excellent, though the rooms have an old-fashioned look that brings the twentieth century to mind.
