Joy 5 Hotel & Spa Hotel

Our daughter wasn’t included on the reservation, but the hotel staff immediately tried to sort things out so we wouldn’t be inconvenienced, even though it wasn’t their responsibility. They were genuinely kind and friendly. I’m sure they’d do their best if another problem came up.

After a long day, there was no hot water, so I couldn’t take a shower. At midnight, reception kept me waiting for 30 minutes, then brushed it off by saying it wasn’t their problem. Basic things are missing here, and the hotel doesn’t seem to care about its guests. Stay far away.

Sleeping on the water was peaceful and unusual, especially when it was quiet around us. The hotel is lovely, breakfast was enjoyable, and the spa is a real plus. We arrived late at night and the shuttle was very helpful, with a staff member kindly meeting us. The first night was rough because a large group in the room next to and above us shouted and jumped around late into the night. I went to reception several times and was ready to call the police myself. Thankfully, the remaining nights were quieter. The spa service was inconsistent too. The spa staff member was only there on our last night. On the other days, another staff member, whose role I’m not sure of, didn’t open the jacuzzi, switch on the TV in the spa area, or help with the other facilities. That was disappointing. Room cleaning was okay, but the tea and coffee weren’t replenished. When we asked, we were told one capsule was complimentary and we’d have to pay for the rest. It’s a beautiful place with potential, but consistency and guest service could be better.

Waking up to ducks swimming past the window is an amazing memory, and the river view is one of the best things about this hotel. It’s beside a park in one of the quietest parts of Belgrad. I stayed for five nights on September 25' and enjoyed every minute. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is nice, and the staff are friendly. During the day you can work in the restaurant and get coffee or orange juice at reasonable prices. I’d recommend it if you need a relaxing break.
